Hmm, that sounds a little like
you, babe.
Anyway, my pretend comic book job
was to foil her at every move she made.
She was trying to take over the group,
my group, and I had to stop her. That
was my working plot anyway.
Even though she was my pretend
arch-enemy, all my friends liked her,
and that’s why I didn’t swear at her
that often.
Usually, I just shut-up, but this
time, I had a plan, and it might just
work if I didn’t start swearing at her
first.
When I told everyone about Amy-
Strange, no one believed me either,
just like Beth, and Rhonda just made
fun of me and the video.
     “Really Criminal? A talking Cat?
* Why are you wasting our time with this?
I've never been on one of these Hal-
loween patrols, and that's what I want
to talk about, not some stupid halluci-
nation about some Cat wanting more kib-
bles. Give me a break, and that
video... pfff, I’ve got blind friends
who can do better than that. Shit, I
can do better than that.”
     Even though she opposed everything
I suggested, and even though she was my
pretend arch-enemy, I also felt a cer-
tain amount of sympathy for her.
Not only because she reminded me
of how I could get sometimes, but
mostly because of her mission in life,
and that was to find her sister who
disappeared a year ago, this Halloween.
